Guitar Moves
@guitar-moves · YouTube · United States
The Webby Award Winning series Guitar Moves is a loose anti-authoritarian music “show & tell” designed to inspire anyone to pick up a guitar. The episodes feature iconic artists showing what their hands do on a guitar’s strings and the joy it brings them. Guitar Moves avoids talking about gear/pedals/amps, unless absolutely necessary (J Mascis, for example). Displays of shredding/technical excellence are NOT the show's purpose. Here's the point of Guitar Moves: a cheap unplugged guitar can make your life better and take you to wild places. Host/creator Matt Sweeney is a professional musician who’s grateful to be able to help people get into playing guitar. New episodes keep coming with the help of Fat Possum records and the best camera and sound teams, whenever we can make them. Anyone looking for bros showing off their vintage axes, talking about effects boxes and giving “hacks” etc are strongly encouraged to go elsewhere. Facebook: Guitar Moves Instagram: guitar.moves
